What new knowledge have you gained from this internship?
I have gained knowledge about how agricultural banking works, as well as what happens behind the scenes to make a loan happen. I have not only learned the lending side of the bank, but also how the teller process works and what needs to be done to help customers complete their everyday transactions.
Learning about both lending and teller operations has given me a better understanding of how different areas of the bank work together to serve customers.
What has been the most rewarding part of your internship?
The most rewarding part of my internship has been being able to meet and work with customers, as well as having the opportunity to be involved in the community throughout my internship. Getting to know customers and being involved in the community has helped me see the positive impact a community bank can have on the people and businesses it serves.
What has been your favorite part about your internship?
My favorite part of the internship has been the opportunity to work with everyone in the Drake branch and understand how everything works together in the bank to make loans, transactions and other day-to-day processes happen.
I have enjoyed learning from different areas of the bank and seeing how each team contributes to serving customers. Working alongside the Drake team has helped me develop a broader understanding of banking and how different roles work together to support customers' financial needs.
