MINOT, N.D. - Bravera Wealth Senior Wealth Manager Pam Andrist has been named one of BankBeat's 2026 Outstanding Women in Banking, a recognition honoring women who have made significant contributions to the banking industry and their communities.
For Andrist, planning isn't just a professional skill. It's a lifelong passion.
Growing up on a farm near Minot, Andrist developed an appreciation for organization and preparation at an early age. Those habits followed her into a career in financial services, where helping others plan for the future became a natural fit.
After earning a finance degree from North Dakota State University, Andrist joined AgCountry Farm Credit Services in Fargo. While much of her experience centered on agricultural lending, she also discovered a passion for leadership, coaching and helping people work toward their goals.
Years later, an unexpected conversation with a former colleague opened the door to a career in banking. What began as an opportunity in mortgage lending eventually led Andrist to Bravera, where she transitioned into wealth management and found a new way to help customers build financial confidence.
Today, Andrist leads a team of 14 advisors within Bravera Wealth. Alongside serving customers, she has become known for her commitment to employee development and mentoring future leaders. “Success is measured not by personal achievement but by the opportunities created for others.”
That philosophy has guided much of Andrist's leadership approach throughout her career. She credits the people who encouraged her to pursue new opportunities and believes investing in others is essential to building strong teams and organizations.
“‘We've got to build the bench’ has been my theme,” Andrist said. “If you're on my team, we aren't waiting for a position to open—we've got to build the bench.”
According to Bravera spokesperson Kelsey Dahl, Andrist's focus on developing others has helped shape the culture and growth of the wealth management team.
“Pam's greatest impact may be in her commitment to developing future leaders,” Dahl said.
Whether working with customers or mentoring employees, Andrist encourages employees to think beyond their current role and consider new possibilities. She emphasized the importance of asking, "Have you considered this? And what can we do today to help you get there?”
At the heart of her leadership philosophy is a commitment to supporting others and helping them reach their potential.
“It really is just surrounding our employees [with support],” she said. “Let's give them an opportunity.”
Bravera congratulates Andrist on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for the leadership, mentorship and dedication she continues to bring to customers, employees and communities across the region.
