Bravera is proud to feature Tristan Weidner for this month’s Intern Spotlight. Tristan has been an IT Intern with Bravera Holdings Corp. since April 2023. He is currently enrolled online at the North Dakota State College of Science and is studying Information & Communication Technology. While not working or studying, Tristan enjoys editing videos and websites for small business owners. Here is what he had to say about his time with Bravera:
What drew you to apply for an internship with Bravera?
I did an internship with the NDSCS IT department, so I wanted to continue doing IT. I saw Bravera at a job fair and I wanted to see if a bank’s networking, hardware, and programs were different. So far, I’m glad I did.
What have you discovered about Bravera during your internship?
I’ve learned that banks have a lot more programs than I thought. I’m learning a wide range of things. I didn’t think I would learn so many different things, I always thought I would only work with computers and networking, but I’m learning about phones, networking, computers, and all the programs we use. It’s a lot more than I thought.
Do you have any advice for someone who wants to intern with Bravera?
Take that Internship! You won’t regret it. If you don’t like that position, you still have an understanding about it. But you might find the job you’ve been wanting since you were little! So, make yourself uncomfortable because discomfort is how we grow. Go take that Internship even if you are uncomfortable or unsure with it. The only regret you’ll have is that you didn’t do it sooner.
