Bravera Bank
Trey joined Bravera as an intern in Killdeer. He is currently a senior at Killdeer High School. Following his graduation this spring, Trey plans to attend the University of North Dakota to study banking and finance. During his internship, he has had the opportunity to learn more about customer service, banking operations and financial transactions.
What new knowledge have you gained from this internship?
During my time at Bravera, I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience in customer service, banking operations and financial transactions. I’ve learned how to handle real-world responsibilities such as accurate cash handling, processing checks and serving customers.
Beyond technical skills, I’ve learned how to stay calm when I make a mistake. My coworkers and supervisor have helped me understand that mistakes are part of the learning process — especially in a new job with brand-new responsibilities. That mindset alone has helped me grow personally and professionally.
What would you say to another student who is thinking about applying for an internship with Bravera?
I would strongly recommend an internship with Bravera to any student interested in business, finance or customer service. The environment here is welcoming, and the team truly invests in helping interns learn. You’re not placed in a back corner with no responsibilities — you’re given real tasks and the support to complete them and become more independent in the workplace.
Becoming an intern at Bravera is an amazing opportunity to learn and discover what you want to pursue in the future and what you enjoy in a professional setting.
What has been your favorite part about your internship?
My favorite part of my internship has been the supportive culture and positive atmosphere at Bravera. Every day, I work alongside people who encourage me, guide me and genuinely want to see me grow, learn and succeed.
This experience has even changed the direction I want to take in college. Working at Bravera has opened my eyes to a career path I’m excited to explore after high school. Being part of a team that works hard, cares about Bravera’s culture and serves our communities has made my internship a rewarding experience that I’ll continue to value.
