Dynamic Duos

Dynamic Duos: Emma Litke and Diego Reyes

Like milk and cookies during the holidays, Bismarck relationship bankers Emma Litke and Diego Reyes are better together. When they team up, your banking experience gets even sweeter.

How  long have you worked together?

Emma: We’ve worked together for about 10 months.

Diego: We’ve worked together for a little under a year.

Why did you choose milk and cookies as your pairing?

Emma: We chose milk and cookies because we’re both excited about the upcoming Christmas festivities, and it felt like the perfect pairing for the holiday season.

Diego: We chose milk and cookies because there’s nothing better than a glass of milk when enjoying a cookie — or the other way around. It’s comforting to have both, especially around the holidays.

How does working together help you better serve customers?

Emma: Working together helps us better serve customers by creating a positive and supportive environment. Diego always knows how to brighten my day and make me laugh until my stomach hurts, no matter how tough the day is. His ability to lift my spirits makes coming to work enjoyable and motivates me to greet customers with a genuine smile and cheerful attitude.

Diego: We get into a groove and are always willing to take on the hard tasks. We know we can rely on each other if we have questions. She always pushes me to go above and beyond and be the best at what I do — not only for myself, but for the customers we serve.

What are the best parts of your job?

Emma: The best part of my job is having such a great team behind the teller line. We always help each other out and find ways to make work fun. I’ve made lifelong friendships through this job and I’m very grateful for that.

Diego: The best part of my job is the people I work with. They’ve been so supportive of any decision I make. They make work not feel like work.

What have you learned from each other?

Emma: Diego has taught me to always chase after what I want. He’s a perfect example of determination and productivity. He’s always the first to volunteer for any mundane task and he does it with a smile. Every day he finds new ways to go above and beyond. It’s truly inspirational and makes me want to work harder.

Diego: I’ve learned to be more confident in my decision‑making skills and to be open to new ideas and projects that come our way. We push each other to be better every day.

What's your favorite thing about your community?

Emma: My favorite thing about our community is the constant support we have for one another. Whenever someone is going through a tough time outside of work, my coworkers at the north Bismarck branch go out of their way to make them feel appreciated and cared for. It’s a blessing to work in such a positive and supportive environment.

Diego: I enjoy how diverse the community is. Everyone brings different experiences and strengths, which makes conversations and daily interactions more meaningful. Having the opportunity to volunteer in our community also makes a huge impact on my life.
